First Discussion Paper on Goods and Services Tax in India has been prepared by the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers and was released by the Union Finance Minister, Sh. Pranab Mukherjee, in his meeting with the State Finance Ministers, on November 10, 2009, in New Delhi. A copy of the same has been uploaded on official website of the department www.haryanatax.com. All stake holders, viz representatives from trade, industry as well as tax consultants are requested to give their suggestions, if any, in response to the aforesaid Discussion Paper.
